Vacant Positions & Eligibility Criteria

• 01. Professor (Medical Education) (BPS-20) — 01 Post:
  • Age Limit: Up to 55 years.
  • Basic Qualification: MBBS or equivalent medical / dental qualifications recognized / registered by PM&DC.
  • Postgraduate Qualification: Level-II b or Level III postgraduate degree or diploma in Medical Education, Health Professions Education or related field recognized by PM&DC.
  • Experience: At least Three (03) years as Associate Professor in the respective subject OR Nine (09) years teaching experience as an Assistant Professor in the respective subject.
  • Publications: Six (06) research publications as Associate Professor are required in relevant subject. A total of Fifteen (15) research publications in relevant subject, of which Six (06) should be during last three years. Level-II b holders shall be eligible to become Professor.
• 02. Director Quality Enhancement Cell / Institutional Quality Assessment and Effectiveness (IQAE) (BPS-20) — 01 Post:
  • Age Limit: Up to 55 years.
  • Qualification & Experience: MS/MPhil or equivalent degree (18 years education) in Health/ Medical Education/ Life Sciences/ Management Sciences duly recognized by HEC with 12 years' experience in Administration / Management in an HEC recognized public sector university / degree awarding institute or a public sector organization in BPS-17 or equivalent and above.
  OR
  Masters or equivalent degree (16 years education) in Health/ Medical Education/ Life Sciences/ Management Sciences duly recognized by HEC with 15 years' experience Administration / Management in an HEC recognized public sector university / degree awarding institute or a public sector organization in BPS-17 or equivalent and above.
• 03. Deputy Registrar (BPS-18) — 01 Post:
  • Age Limit: Up to 55 years.
  • Qualification & Experience: M.A. / M.Sc. / MPA / MBA from HEC recognized University with 5 years administrative experience OR MBBS with 5 years teaching / administrative experience.
• 04. Deputy Controller of Examinations (BPS-18) — 01 Post:
  • Age Limit: Up to 55 years.
  • Qualification & Experience: M.A. / M.Sc. / MPA / MBA from HEC recognized University with 5 years administrative experience OR MBBS with 5 years teaching / administrative experience.
• 05. Network Administrator (BPS-17) — 01 Post:
  • Age Limit: Up to 55 years.
  • Qualification & Experience: MS in Computer Sciences / BE in Engineering from HEC recognized University having 2-3 years' experience of Network Administration and Management.
• 06. Database Administrator (BPS-17) — 01 Post:
  • Age Limit: Up to 55 years.
  • Qualification & Experience: MS in Computer Sciences / BCS / BE in Engineering from HEC recognized University having 2-3 years' experience of Database Administration. Must possess good oral and written communication skills as well as good presentation skills. In depth knowledge of the current leading database, development tools, middleware tool, hardware platforms and operating systems. Well versed about multitier vs client / server models of software systems and database technologies (e.g. Transactional, Relational, Object Oriented & Distributed Database) in general.

• Applicants are required to apply online through university job portal: http://portals.uhs.edu.pk/jobs. The applicants are also required to submit signed hardcopy/printout of the same pre-filled online application form to the Office of Human Resource Department, Room # 12, University of Health Sciences, Khayaban-e-Jamia Punjab, Lahore. Fill online application form carefully as no editing will be allowed after submission.
• The applicants are required to print system generated fee challan and deposit job application processing fee as mentioned on challan through 1Link or in any branch of Bank of Punjab.
• The applicants are required to attach and submit attested copies of CNIC, domicile, all educational documents/certificates, experience certificates and any other relevant documents along-with deposited system generated fee challan as per the following approved rates on or before the closing date:
  • BPS-17 & Above: Rs. 2000/-
• Applications submitted without deposited system generated fee challan will not be entertained. Deposited amount is non-refundable/non-transferable.
• Closing date for submission of online applications is 30.10.2026 within office hours. Printed online application form along-with all attached documents must be submitted in person or via courier. Incomplete application or applications received after due date will not be accepted.

Important Instructions

• Only Punjab domiciled candidates can apply.
• Appointments will be on contract basis as per UHS Service Statutes 2005.
• Preference will be given to those having experience in a reputable Public Sector Medical University / Institution.
• Experience, where prescribed, would include equivalent experience, in a profession or in the service of an autonomous body or semi-autonomous organization or well reputed private organization.
• Only post qualification experience shall be considered for eligibility.
• Relaxation in upper age limit may be granted to suitable candidates as per statutes / rules of Government of Punjab.
• The selected candidates can be posted at any campus of the University (City & Jinnah Campus KSK).
• Incomplete applications or applications received after due date will not be entertained.
• University reserves the rights to increase/decrease or totally withdraw the vacancies without assigning any reason.
• University reserves the rights to conduct any test/screening for the shortlisting of candidates.
