Program Overview

In pursuance of Notification No. SO(Estt)3-26/07(3859) dated 25-03-2026 issued by the Government of the Punjab, Special Education Department (available on sed.punjab.gov.pk), applications are invited from suitable candidates for hiring of School Teaching Interns (STIs) against vacant teaching posts in Special Education Institutions of District Jhang and Toba Tek Singh.

District Jhang Vacancies (Total: 08 Seats):

• Govt. (COE) Secondary Special Education, Centre Shorkot: Senior Special Education Teacher (PD) BS-17 (1), Junior Special Education Teacher (MC) BS-16 (1), Junior Special Education Teacher (PD) BS-16 (1).
• Govt. Special Education Centre 18-Hazari, Jhang Road: Junior Special Education Teacher (VI) BS-16 (1).
• Govt. Special Education Centre, Ahmed Pur Sial: Senior Special Education Teacher (VI) BS-17 (1), Senior Special Education Teacher (PD) BS-17 (1), Junior Special Education Teacher (HI) BS-16 (1), Junior Special Education Teacher (PD) BS-16 (1).

Academic Qualification & Eligibility Criteria

• 1. Senior Special Education Teacher (PD) BS-17: M.A or BS (1st div / Grade-B) in Special Education with specialization in Physically Disabled / Handicapped or equivalent from HEC recognized university.
• 2. Junior Special Education Teacher (PD) BS-16: M.A or BS (2nd div / Grade-C) in Special Education with specialization in Physically Disabled or equivalent from HEC recognized university.
• 3. Senior Special Education Teacher (VI) BS-17: M.A or BS (1st div / Grade-B) in Special Education with specialization in Visually Impairment or equivalent AND Certificate of proficiency in Braille issued by Directorate General of Special Education Punjab.
• 4. Junior Special Education Teacher (VI) BS-16: M.A or BS (2nd div / Grade-C) in Special Education with specialization in Blind or equivalent AND Certificate of proficiency in Braille.
• 5. Senior Special Education Teacher (HI) BS-17: M.A / M.Ed / BS (1st div / Grade-B) in Special Education with specialization in Deaf / Hearing Impaired or equivalent.
• 6. Junior Special Education Teacher (HI) BS-16: M.A or BS (2nd div / Grade-C) in Special Education with specialization in Deaf or equivalent.
• 7. Junior Special Education Teacher (MC) BS-16: M.A or BS (2nd div / Grade-C) in Special Education with specialization in Mentally Challenged or equivalent.
• 8. Senior Special Education Teacher (MC) BS-17: M.A or BS (1st div / Grade-B) in Special Education with specialization in Mentally Challenged or equivalent.
• Candidate Eligibility: All aspiring candidates (Men, Women, and Transgender) are eligible. Fresh candidates having relevant qualification are encouraged; preference given to candidates having teaching experience.
• Age Limit: 21-28 years + Upper age relaxation: Male (05 years), Female (08 years), Persons with Disabilities (15 years on valid certificate).

Terms & Conditions & Interview Schedule

• Nature & Duration: Purely temporary, school-specific and non-transferable. Duration: 09 months (excluding summer vacations) during Financial Year 2026-27 or till arrival of regular incumbents.
• Monthly Honorarium: BS-17 equivalent = Rs. 45,000/- PM | BS-16 equivalent = Rs. 40,000/- PM. No right of regular appointment.
• How to Apply: Submit application along with attested copies of CV, CNIC, Domicile, Academic Certificates, Experience Certificates (if any), and 2 passport size photos. Separate application required for each post/institute.
• Submission Office: Office of District Education Officer, Special Education, Jhang, Special Education Complex, Satellite Town, Jhang by hand or post till 26-10-2026 during office hours.
• Jhang Interview: Office of Principal, Govt. Secondary School of Special Education for HI Boys, Satellite Town, Jhang — 28-10-2026 at 11:00 AM.
• Toba Tek Singh Interview: Office of Principal, Govt. Higher Secondary School of Special Education for HI, Near DHQ Hospital, Toba Tek Singh — 29-10-2026 at 11:00 AM.
