Position Overview

National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) invites applications from experienced, dynamic, and qualified professionals for the position of Head of Internal Audit under NADRA Employee (Service) Regulations 2002 (Regulations 9, 10, & 11). The post is based at NADRA Headquarters in Islamabad.

Key Job Requirements & Eligibility Criteria

• Position Title: Head of Internal Audit
• Maximum Age Limit: 55 Years (Includes general 5-year age relaxation)
• Posting Location: Islamabad
• Educational Background: Chartered Accountant (ICAP / ICAEW) / ACCA / ACMA or Master's Degree in Finance / Accounting or related field from an HEC-recognized university. (Degrees must be attested by HEC).
• Professional Experience: Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in internal audit, risk management, governance, compliance, or financial controls, with at least 5 years in a Senior Internal Audit Leadership position.
• Sector Experience: Proven experience in leading and managing internal audit functions in large public-sector, corporate, financial, or technology-driven organizations.
• Standards & Frameworks: Strong understanding of IPPF, Internal Auditing Standards, COSO Internal Control Framework, ERM, and corporate governance principles. Experience reporting to Board-Level Committees / Executive Management.
• Preferred Certifications: Internal Audit certifications like CISA, CIA, or equivalent will be preferred. Experience with AI-enabled auditing, digital audit tools, and data analytics will be an added advantage.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead NADRA's Internal Audit function by providing independent assurance on governance, risk management, internal controls, compliance, and operational effectiveness.
• Develop and execute risk-based annual audit plans aligned with International / National Standards.
• Lead financial, operational, IT, forensic, performance, and compliance audits across all NADRA Offices.
• Verify compliance with government rules, Public Procurement Rules (PPRA), and internal SOPs.
• Prepare high-quality audit reports for Management and the Audit Committee.
• Support development of internal control frameworks and build audit capability in IT audit, forensics, and process automation.

• Selected candidates will initially be placed on a 6-month probation period (extendable if required).
• Only shortlisted candidates will be called for test / interview. No TA/DA will be provided.
• Government / Semi-Government employees must submit an NOC from their department at the time of interview.
• Degrees / certificates issued by HEC or relevant regulatory bodies must be verified prior to joining.
