Position Overview

Capital Development Authority (CDA), Islamabad invites online applications from eligible and highly suitable candidates for appointment to the position of Director General (Law) on a merit-based contractual basis. The position is initially for a period of 2 years and subject to extension based on performance and departmental requirements.

Position Details & Eligibility Criteria

• Position Title: Director General (Law)
• Educational Qualifications: LL.B. and LL.M. degrees from a recognized university. Candidates possessing an LL.M. from a foreign university shall be preferred.
• Legal Experience: At least seven (07) years' experience as an Advocate of the High Court with substantial experience in litigation, transactional, and corporate legal work. Preference for candidates with in-house legal experience in a Government Department or public sector organization.
• Judicial Appearances: Substantial litigation experience before the High Court and other courts, with a minimum of two (02) reported judgments and appearances in at least thirty (30) cases before the High Court.
• Specialized Expertise: Experience in constitutional, commercial, corporate, regulatory, employment, and/or public-sector litigation will be an added advantage. Strong legal research, drafting, advisory, negotiation, and case-management skills.
• Leadership Capability: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a legal department, supervise external counsel, formulate litigation strategy, and provide strategic legal advice to senior management.
• Maximum Age Limit: 50 years (Age relaxation applicable as per Government policy).

• Applications must be submitted online only. Submissions by post, courier, or mail will not be entertained.
• Processing Fee: Candidates must pay a non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 8,000/- for the post. The fee must be submitted online using the PSID / QR code generated via banking apps.
• In-service candidates serving in government organizations must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of application/interview.
